HI I want to clean my powerbook g4 to sell it. I don't have the original installation disks. Can I get them somewhere or can I install another version of OSX say 10.4 which I do have. Thanks

You can try calling Apple and requesting a replacement CD if they still have it. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling.

If you have a retail 10.4 installation disk it should readily work with any Powerbook G4. What will not work is an installation disk that came with a new Mac that is not identical to yours. Each model has different hardware components and therefore different drivers.

Presumably you zero erased the HD before installing 10.4? If not it won't be 'clean'.
