ipod does not stop at end of audiobook

When I hear an audiobook, the Ipod should stop at the end of the book , not continuing immediately with the next audiobook.

How are you playing the audiobook on the iPod? Do you navigate to Music -> Audiobooks? Are your audiobooks listed separately under this section?

I navigate Music > Audiobooks >

then I scroll between my more than 70 books

(most of them converted with MarkAble2 from CDs or self recorded speaking, some of them bought directly via internet)

Is Shuffle enabled via Settings -> Shuffle?

Shuffle (in German "Zufall") and Repeat ("Wiederholen") both OFF.
