I have a water damaged iPhone 4, what should I do?

I just bought a refurbished iPhone 4 off Amazon and it worked great, until water was spilt on it. There is a 30 day warranty by the sender, but I'm not 100% sure if water damage is under the warranty. Should I send it back or go to apple to see if they will replace my water damaged phone for $150?
