Q: Cannot Mirror MacBook Pro to Apple TV

I own a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 and a 3rd Generation Apple TV and both have the latest software updates. I can no longer see the AirPlay icon on my computer and I can no longer select that in the display options of settings. Any help on this one??
