Macbook Pro Safari running very slowly/Blue Question marks instead of images. Help! :)

I just recently purchased a Macbook Pro about a week ago (My very first Mac). I have seached the forums and haven't seen a question/solution to the strange problem that I seem to have been plauged with. After surfing the web using Safari for more than an hour or so, when quit (Safari) and re-opened, Safari runs extremely slowly, doesn't load any pages fully, and if by chance it finally does, instead of images showing up, a blue box with a question mark in it appears. Also on some pages it "re-formats" it to like a "text-only" type deal. I am running the latest software and haven't really done anything with the Mac besides put some movies, music, etc. on it. I also make sure that all the other apps are fully quit and that not of them are running. When this happens with Safari, I also noticed that the App store is affected and runs extremely slow as well. It's like whatever the problem is, it affects both Safari and the App store (I haven't really tested if whatever the problem is, affects other apps besides these two). This problem has occured three times now and is becoming very frusterating as I have barely had the computer a week. The only solution that I have found is restarting the computer, but I dont feel like I should have to restart every hour and a half of surfing the internet, typing papers, etc. This is my first Mac and so I am still learning how to run it, the Apple "lingo", and everything else that comes with owning a mac. I really appreciate all the help.

Thanks,

Colton
