How to recover documents dropped into "Inbox" in Finder?

Finder has the folder "Inbox". Documents accidentally moved into "Inbox" from the folder "Desktop" are lost. How can they be recovered? Thx!

Welcome.

"Inbox" is not a default folder on the desktop or in standard directories; it may have been accidentally moved from somewhere else.

Help us out here by doing a "Get Info" on that folder.

Select the folder "Inbox," press Command-I (that's "I" as in "Info"), then click all the triangle pointers in the Info pane so they point down, exposing section contents.

Then press Command-Shift-4 and click and drag the curosor over the Info box to take a screenshot of it. The screenshot will be placed on your desktop. Add that screenshot to a reply here by clicking on the camera icon in the reply toolbar and adding the image to the reply.
