Ipod 2nd gen will not move past the connect to itunes screen. When I connect it too itunes, it states that it needs a passcode? Any ideas on how to get it to move passed this?

hmmm - the fact that it needs a passcode - we'll need to enter that but the fact that the itunes and usb logo are on your device screen means that it needs to be restored in recovery mode. You could try putting it into recovery mode again - hold home button while connecting it to itunes and computer.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

i'd recommend powering it down, hold home button while connecting to computer and continue to hold home button - also could restore in dfu mode - google restore in dfu mode for that solution.
also, i've noticed osme people can hold both home and power button while connecting to computer and it works sometimes.
When I do that it gives me the slide to power off screen.

2nd Generation ipod touch - shows the connect to itunes screen, when I connect it it states that the ipod can not connect to itunes because it has a passcode. The ipod will not leave the connect to itunes screen? Any ideas?
