happened after upgrading to iOS 6 in iTunes; did not restore.. got stuck in Recovery Mode, now I am frustrated to having to use iPod 4th generation as just a camera.
same thing happened to my iPhone 4 a day earlier..
can somebody pls help.
In iTunes for Windows..
had to set up as a New iPod, because it did not restore from iTunes Backup, which caused the non-recognition.
I had the problem that Itunes did not recognize my itouch or ipad since I got a new computer with Windows 8. Just finished a help session with HP. They had me uninstall ALL apple components including bonjour services - restart - and reinstall. It worked!
Previously I had tried uninstalling itunes but didn't get the rest of the Apple components.
