The standard heaphones that came with my iphones has started to peel around the earbud. The rubber "band" around the speaker is coming apart. I have always taken very good care of my apple products. Is there anyone else who is having this issue or did I just get a bum set of ear buds?

you could submit a DIY repair through 1800myapple but if the damage was user caused, apple will want to charge for the replacement pair. The mail in process can take a few days.
Well I have done nothing to cause this, other than put them in and take them out of my ear. But if Apple is going to charge to fix the problem, it may be the same price as to just buy a new set of earbuds. Thank you for the information
