My daughters iPod touch 4th gen has been disabled from her locking it with a password, forgetting the password, and now it says disabled connect to iTunes . The problem is the computer it was set up on is no longer operational.

I tried to use iCloud to restore but she never set up iCloud. I tried to wipe it with find my iPhone but she never set that up. I put the iPod into recovery mode and connected it to an iTunes account on a different computer but it does not pick up the iPod. When I connect it to iTunes not in recovery mode it says to unlock the iPod before it can connect to iTunes. I don't know where to go from here besides blowing it up or putting it in a microwave. Please help. Thank you.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
