iPad missing status bar

Hello Folks,

When I open Safari on my iPad the status bar (wifi indicator, time, battery indicator) at the top of the screen disappears. It just started doing this today. The status bar comes back when I leave Safari, and I haven't noticed the problem with any other apps.

I haven't downloaded anything new today, and I don't recall changing any settings. I haven't tried to mod the iPad or tinker with it, just normal use. It is an iPad 2 with iOS 6.0.1. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for your help

You are wrong.

Remember, this forum is like a hospital, there is something wrong in every post.

Think about it, there are more than 250,000,000 iPhones out there and those enjoying it won't be here.

If things happens as you describe, the forum will have millions and millions more posts.

Unless you are a troll, but then why are you here.

Sorry if I offended. I was just expressing my frustration that over the past several years, more and more of the "fix" to a problem has become 'just do a reset, a hard rest, or a restore'.

That's precisely why I left the windows platform. I liked it better when 'it just works' instead of the well... Here's a try.... Model.

Not trolling, just expressing concern that it really should 'just work'.

Sorry if I offended.
