iPod Classic error 1439 solution found

I was having trouble syncing/restoring my iPod Classic 160G getting unknown error 1439:

I tried many things and i found a simple repair - Format using your Windows Format. Then copy some 10 - 15G of files to it. Check that it also reads okay by opening one or two files. Close the copy windows then go to iTunes and the Restore should complete okay and syncing will then be okay.

It worked for me!
