Recently purchased a new modem router (D-LINK DSL-2870B) and it keeps crashing both my late 08 aluminium macbook and my girlfriend's white macbook - both running Snow Leopard. We have already taken the white one in to be looked at and had the HDD replaced which needed to be done anyway, but when we got it home it did the exact same thing - after booting up you cannot open anything (even Finder) without the rainbow wheel of doom appearing and the computer completely freezing up. We took it back to the repairers and I looked like an incredible fool when it worked perfectly there. Brought it back home and tested it using my smart phone's internet tethering and it worked fine. The minute it is connected to the network (wireless OR ethernet) it just freezes up!

What the heck is going on here?!!

OH and I also own a current MBA running 10.7 and I haven't had any issues at all. The router is also shared by 3-4 PC's, 2 PS3's, and an XBOX 360 - all of which run fine.
