Restore: not enough memory on iPhone to restore :/

I just bought the iPhone 5 32 GB to replace my iPhone 4 32 GB.

To copy over the data I did a backup of my old iPhone and wanted to do a restore to my iPhone 5 (same memory size) in iTunes (on a MacBook Air).

It would however show me an error when wanting to restore it: "there is not enough memory on the iPhone to restore" (in german, since I am german speaking native 😉).

I also deleted some podcasts on the old iPhone, did a backup again, tried again.. didn't work. Always the same error...

would anyone know..? 😟

It's the actual device (iPhone) that doesn't have enough memory... :/

But it's exactly the same size as the old iPhone...

If all your Data and such is on the computer you usually Sync with (as is recommended)

Restore as New and not from Backup... and then Sync your content...
