Thunderbolt Firmware Update v1.1

Hi,

I saw a software update for the Thunderbolt Firmware Update v1.1 on the Mac App Store (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1612). I updated it but yet it keeps appearing on the App Store. I dont' know why. And, I encountered another issue with this update. When the system requires me to restart my laptop after supposedly updating the firmware, my laptop restarts twice and it takes a much longer time than normal to restart. Furthermore, after this supposed update, my laptop takes longer than normal to boot up. Does any one of you face the same problem? Could anyone help ease my worry? Thank you!

Hi there,

I had the same problem and tried it a million times.

But the solution was simple.

I have two partitions, a MacOS- and a Windows-Partition. The Windows partition is the start volume. And this was the problem. After restarting I had to press "alt" to chose the volume manually.

Some of the needed installation information seemed to got lost doing this. For the first time. All other updates worked fine.

So I only had to set MacOS as start volume and redtried it successfully.

Good luck,

Kay
