Do you need Final Cut to run Compressor or is it a stand alone app?
Compressor is a stand alone app. You don't need Final Cut to use/run Compressor.
Can I just ask if you can export from FCP7 as a mov file and then use compressor 4? I heard you couldn't?
You export the video (Quicktime self-contain) from FCP and import that into Compresser 4.
Is the Quicktime self-contained a better quality then the mov file? Doesn't the Quicktime compress as well?
It doesn't recompress the video.
Besides if it did, you could recompress to ProRes many many many time before you see a difference.
Thank you so much.
Also have you heard of compressor confusing FCP7 when you install it? I saw on the frequent questions that it stops FCP7 from opening? any ideas on that one?
