How to know what model/version my Ipad is?

Hello everybody

I´m new in this forum...

I bought an Ipad 3 (called "New Ipad" here in Brazil)... but looking at Apple´s site, i see that my Ipad doesn´t have the "LIGHTINING CONNECTOR".

How ow where could I see what´s model;/version is my Ipad?

Thanks for now

The iPad 4 (rleased last month in some countries) has a lightning connector, you probably have the iPad 3 that was released in March earlier this year - you can type in the serial number (Settings > General > About > Serial Number) on on this page and that should tell you the model

Tunr your iPad around and look for the serial number at the bottom.

Enter it here:

And it will tell you what generation iPad you have.

Now, the iPad 3 was, when released, named the New iPad. Since then a "newer" iPad has been released. Also officially named the new iPad, its a 4th generation iPad dubbed iPad 4.

The main differences between the 3rd Gebneration and the 4th Generation iPads are the lightning connector and the faster processor.

If your iPad has a larger port at the bottom for charging its a 3rd Generation iPad.
