Hi, when i connect my I Pod Touch 4th gen. to I Tunes (for Windows XP) to extract the IOS6 Software to the I Pod it disconnects.
How can I solve that the I Pod always disconnects when i want to extract the Software😕

Could it also be that I had IOS 5.1.1 and I didn`t download IOS6 because I waited at IOS6.0.1 and because of that it doesnt work?
Ok I`ve downloaded it and theres no other IPSW and now I must do a double klick on it and it should work
Yes. You can only update to or restore to the latest iOS available for your generation iPod. If you try to restore to or update to another iOS version you get errors.
IOS6.0.1 is available on the IPod Touch 4th gen. isn`t it??? But now I`ve downloaded the IPSW6.0.1 and it still doesn`t work
Why not just use the restore/update button in iTunes?
There are different update/firmware file for each model iPod.
There is no Restore Update Button

Ok when I click on Restore than stands there Software extracting and and after a few seconds the I Pod disconnects until the extraction is finished an than theres the Error because there isnt a device anymore
I only want to know how I can stop it that the I Pod disconnects automatically
Do you think that my Problem could be that i`ve got an too old Computer?

Have you tried another cable?
Another USB port? You connected directly through the computer, not through a hub or extension cable?
Try another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem.
