How do you quit the installer

I'm trying to re-install OS 10.4. It completed the installation of Disc 1 and is asking to insert disk 2. I've misplaced disc 2 so borrowed a set of OS 10.4.7 discs from an associate. It will not take that Disc 2, which is understandable. But I cannot stop the installation to restart with Disc 1 of the borrowed set. It keeps asking for Disc 2. I've restarted, reset the PRAM, and it keeps starting back up with the "insert disc 2" screen. How do you kill or quit this installaton process ? ? ?

I had already zapped the PRAM as well. UPDATE: for some unkown reason, I got it to restart and boot from the associates CD/DVD. But it says it cannot install as they are not the appropriate discs. (newer version of software.) So, I'm back to installing from the original. The problem now is that although I've customized and uncheck the bundled software, it continues to ask for disc 2. So we're back to looking for disc 2.

Thanks for all the help, we'll get it figured out.
