whatsapp "last seen" not working

I tried doing that .. re-installed it again. And still the same problem. 😟

Last seen timestamp is showing OFF....I tried turning it ON .. the following message is what I am getting "Could not connect to WhatsApp service. Please try again later."

I wonder what else should I do now ?!

If your goin to delete it, then push on the app until it jiggles, then tap the X in the top left of the app then tap ok. That will delete it, then readd the app through the appstore again and see if it fixes it?

I am facing amost the same problem..I recently found out about the disable lastseen timestamp feature on whatsapp and decided to give it a try. However, I have to wait 24 hours before turning it back on.

After some googling, I found out that there is a way to circumvent this by changing the calender date forward by 1 day.

After changing the calender date forward by 1 day and attempting to enable the last seen timestamp on whatsapp, I get the following message..no matter how many times I try.

"Could not connect to whatsapp service. Please try again later."

However, my chats and everything are all functioning perfectly so I can't see why it can't connect to whatsapp service to reenable my last seen timestamp.

I am facing with a very similar problem, sometimes it keeps me saying "Could not connect to WhatsApp service. Please try again later."

in other cases when connection established, it stucks saying: "updating".

did you succeed to resolve the problem with whatsapp support?

I did not get any reply from whatsapp support.

If the last seen timestamp is showing off in your iPhone... you have to wait for 24hours to turn it on. That's what I did. And it worked...

Did any 1 of you was Abel to solve the problem as I am having the same problem and more than 24 hours have passed still em not Abel to on it back as it shows "couldn't connect to whatsapp service try again later."

Im having the same problem now it has been 3 days and i still cant turn on the last seen timestamp i deleted whatsapp and re installed it ,didn't solve the issue i changed the dates as well and waited for 3 days and still not working i have sent the support line an email but still no response till now!!! Its getting annoying as it keep saying that its not possible to connect to service centre while i can send and receive msgs but only the last seen timestamp is off and can't change it on!!!! I need help plz :((

You could try deleting the app and re-installing it. Or ask the developer.

When you say it's not working what do you mean?

is there no time / date shown?

Is it the case for all of your whatsapp contacts or just the one?
