Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard > Emoji

Hello,

I was searching the Community to find out how to use Emoji characters and I found your answer to an OP.

I have already opened Character Palette and added the icon to the Dock. But, when I click on it and select the Emoji character that I would like to add to a document, I can drag it to the document in Pages, but it will not stick.

I also tried to cut and paste, but the option to cut or copy is not available.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

OS X Pages is an old app and has not yet been updated to support the special color font used for emoji. If you really want them you have to download/install a black/white font like Symbola.
