I am having problems reading my SDHC with card reader, help?

I presume you're using Apple's Camera Connection Kit. Perhaps this will help:

Were the photos/videos on the card put there by your camera, or did you transfer from your computer?
What size card? You can only use 32GB or smaller.

The photos were transferred to PNY SCHD 8GB card, I thank for your response.
Sorry, forgot to mentioned that photos were transferred from MacBook Pro to SDHC Card. Thanks
Plug the SD card into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the SD card into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
