I have updated my 4s iphone to 6.0.1 and now have bluetooth issues!

I have updated my 4s iphone to 6.0.1 and now when I pair it with my sony car stereo I can no longer use: play/pause, fast forward or anything like that. It worked great before the upgrade. I can still play music but must start playback on the phone. Does Apple have a planned solution? I thought about down grading but could not see any way to do that.
