Nov 28, 2012 3:04 PM in response to Bob-Gby Bob Timmons,★HelpfulCan I use the current dual band 2TB Time Capsule to back-up all the Macbooks via Time Machine?
Yes, assuming that you have plenty of free space on the Time Capsule, which you appear to have.
Will this require multiple partitions on the Time Capsule 2TB HD?
No, Time Machine will automatically keep backups for each Mac separate. A user on one Mac will not be able to "see" the backups on another Mac in normal operation.
Time Machine backs up the entire contents of the Mac on the first pass, so you want to do this one at a time until all 4 Macs have been backed up.
Then, Time Machine will only backup any changes that have occurred on the Mac since the last backup. These "incremental" backups should only take a minute or two each hour.
I have had 4 Macs backing up for over a year....no problems at all.
