If its just to get rid of duplicates you can use "Look for duplicates" from the card menu to merge them but if you realy want to delete them simply click on one contact, choose select all from the edit menu and hit delete.
I would like to delete all of my contacts on my iMac desktop and bring in all of my contacts from my work PC which I now have on my iPhone.
When I go to my addresses it will not allow me to delete any or all. Am I trying to do it from the wrong screen? I can't find "Look for Duplicates" and where is 'Card Menu'.
Removing duplicates from my imac and icloud would be a distant second choice to removing them all and importing the ones on my iPhone.
What happens when you highlight an address and go to the edit menu, do you have "delete card" or is it greyed out?
You could also try deleting the files for Addressbook. Go to your suer folder, then Library, then Application Support and trash the Address Book folder. Restart Mac and open your Address Book, should be blank.
