Flashing Finder and Question Mark on iMac G3

Hi, I have a slot loading iMac G3 which won't boot up and displays a flashing finder and question mark even though I have OS X installed, It started after I set it to boot up from classic Mac OS 9 and the next time I restarted it, the problem occured. Thanks for your help everyone!
