IOS 6.1 Update...

I simply plugged in my iphone 4 (verizon) to update like i normally and do, about half-way through the update and it said something about an internal error, now i cant do anything with my phone, it wont let me restore it either. Any help? please! I'm due for an iphone 5, should i just go ahead and get that and forget this phone?

this is the screen its stuck on, no matter if its plugged in or not...
