Q: I photo update????

So, It appears we need to update to the latest I photo to be able to sync via the the cloud. We had been able to sync via icloud until this fall. Not sure when we lost that ability and why. I am concerned about updating given the bad reviews. Any suggestions?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

Open System Preferences > iCloud and activate Photo Stream. If you can't, open iPhoto > About iPhoto and see Version. Photo Stream needs iPhoto '11
