How do I select my own picture? I.e. not camera nor pre-installed...


I submitted this question from the "Changing your user account profile picture" help page for Mac OS.


Sorry, new to these forums. Didn't realize I had to click 'see other questions' to view the rest of the thread...


What a backwards and HIDDEN way to solve this: preview your image, CMD-A, CMD-C, click profile pic in user dialog, CMD-V.

Sorry probably my fault, I'm used to Windows where every option is clearly available from the start.

That sounds like the Hidden Apple Way, so I tried that earlier on, but my file was on the Desktop. Didn't work. I guess I'm doing it wrong. The copy-paste method did work.
