I was installing mountain lion on my MacBook Pro with snowleopard but it was taking too long so i put the screen down and started it again the next day, it continued installing but then it froze. (the rest of my problem is in the comments)

So I force shutdown my computer and when I turned it on, it made me set-up as a new computer. Though, I still haven't done that... PLEASE HELP, I'VE LOST ALL OF MY INFORMATION, WHAT SHOULD I DO???

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
