I have stored some backing tracks inmy iTunes Library. I would like to transfer these in to garage band as songs. How do I do this please. When I try to import from iTunes I get a "no songs available message.

In the editing screen, click the loop button and then click audio files and then click the song name from your library that you'd like to import.

Not the "loop" button, you need the "Media Browser" button.
For GarageBand on iOS, click the loop button and a then click audio files.
