Ical shared calendar not an available event

I am running a mac server 10.8.2 and a client with 10.8.2. On the left of ical, where you see all of your calendars, I see the shared account. It has "company" with the wireless beacon symbol and "calendar" without the symbol. When I add a new event I can only choose "calendar" from the shared account and not the actual shared calendar named "company". It is not in the right click menu or in the get info of the event window. It is only one computer so I am sure it is something on it but just don't know what to do. Thanks for any and all help.

Try this, it seems to have worked on mine but it makes no sense why it has. First i took some microsoft update and itunes 11 (doubt this had anything to do with anything, but you never know) and restarted. Then in ical or calendar what ever it's called now (why it gets changed again no idea) i hadin my multiple calendars on side bar three categories

on my mac

icloud

subscriptions (which is birthdays)

in the on my mac category i had a calendar called calendar with nothing in it. I deleted this calendar so that sub category is gone and everything is icloud now. I go and rick click on an event and voila all the calendar options are there. No idea why this works...makes no sense...but it did...go figure. Hope it helps.
