okay im pretty good at the old photography lark yet never used photoshop. i use lightroom4.0 and thats it. i can build pretty good pages using iweb also, i love the way i web works, is there any program similar for creating a flyer or simple posters? i dont really want to have to learn photoshop just to make a basic flyer really...

thanks jeff, i actually just searched this on youtube and watched some tutorial and thought ' wow , this is exactly what i need '
can you export the finished item to a high res jpg or png do you know?
Head to Sytem Preferences > Security > Gatekeeper and set it to "Anywhere"
Then downlaod the free LibreOffice suite and use it's drawing program section.

Here are the export options. You can open a PDF in preview and re-save it as a JPG or PNG if need be.
yeah thats exactly what i need! so adobe PDF reader or whatever its called these days will let me resave as PNG, Jpeg etc then i will be sorted =)
