calendar invite when I am out of my time zone.

When I send a calendar invite to a client when I am out of my time zone, the client receives the invite at a different time than what was set. When I get back into my time zone, the calendar invite on my MAC (Using Outlook 2011 for MAC) changes. Why does this happen?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.1

It may be caused by the calendar time zone support option you've selected. If it's turned off, the time for calendar events will shift as you change time zones. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4576 and http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipad-iphone/masterclass/?articleId=496.
