Nov 29, 2012 12:35 PM in response to BigNoudby binford2k,that is really stupid, in iTunes DJ you just hit the play button and your entire library played radomly.
now you first have to select a song, play that song and the select every song you want to play and add it seperatly.
really simplicity is everything
Hit play. It works, bro. It works.

Nov 29, 2012 12:32 PM in response to binford2kby Maslov,I see you can open UP NEXT but when you click back to your playlist it does not stay open. In DJ you could even used your entire library. One you clicked you could move songs in and order simply and see everything right thier. Youy didn;t have to search for a somng. I do like up next but it should be in addition to DJ and not as a replacement. It does not do the same thing.

Nov 29, 2012 12:34 PM in response to binford2kby bkize,Here's the problem: My "Up Next" playlist just ended and instead of the music continuing to play (via random selection), I have silence. With iTunes DJ, I could let the computer pick out songs and then when a song came to mind, I could add to the mix via my computer or Apple's "Remote" app. BidNoud said it, "
really simplicity is everything ."

Nov 29, 2012 12:36 PM in response to Branden Williamsby jurgennl,This seems to be Apple's new modus operandi, replace functionality by something much less sophisticated.
-Google maps- Apple maps
-Youtube
-iTunes DJ

Agreed. It would be nice to be able to pin the list so it stayed visible.

Absolutely not. I don't want 14 mutually exclusive ways to play my music, that are all nearly identical but with one little twist! I want one that just works.

Nov 29, 2012 12:39 PM in response to Branden Williamsby MarkieM,I am very dissapointed in Apple right now, iTunes DJ was my FAVORITE part of iTunes and now it's gone!
BRING iTUNES DJ BACK!!!!!!!!!
It's awesome for parties because your guests can pick the music they want to listen to, now they can't....

Nov 29, 2012 12:40 PM in response to Branden Williamsby fvil,i can't believe this feature has been removed.
I have always hated iTunes. I thought it was the worst application ever made.
And last week i started loving it because of the iTunes DJ feature and the remote application which was a wonderful idea for parties with people voting for their favorite songs.
I subscribed iTunes Match, started loving iTunes, and i was really looking forward to updating to iTunes 11.
And now, i have iTunes 11 and not the feature that made me like it ... that's really awful.
Why does Apple make good things before removing them ? i can't believe that ...

Really? Mine is updating dynamically, just like iTunes DJ did.
