Q: eMac will not power up

Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

Nov 29, 2012 8:33 PMby roam,Replacing the battery is a good suggestion, but does not always guarantee a restart. It could also be ageing capacitors. I find leaving it plugged into the mains with the mains turned on, for several hours, can allow a trickle charge to get back into the circuit to effect a startup.
