Jan 9, 2013 7:58 PM in response to Widderic Filmsby NedimKara,It should also be noted that the program that you must use to replace the new iTunes 11 files with the old 10.7 files is "Pacifist", as mentioned before. This program is completely free and safe.

Jan 9, 2013 10:51 PM in response to NedimKaraby Frank Mccright,To add to my earliest list of errors:
I have to quit restart iTunes to get newly downloaded episodes from season passes to show up in my Apple TVs.
Seriously the worst iTunes ever.

Jan 13, 2013 1:05 PM in response to Frank Mccrightby Frank Mccright,Again, last night a new episode of "Portlandia" downloaded automatically from iTunes Season Pass. It showed as unwatched before I went to bed. Today it's indicated as "Watched". I watched "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" last night, not this new episode.
Not good.

Jan 21, 2013 9:08 AM in response to Taylor Mccabeby F-Peter,sounds great. But how do 'set it up' if it freezes? I can't find any way to get around the freezing issue. If I do manage to get it running what settings do I need to adjust? I don't know where to start. never had this with any previous version of itunes. sounds like you're a real 'power user'! Please share!

Feb 16, 2013 11:05 AM in response to Limnosby Alex Zavatone,Thank you so much. iTunes 11 is such garbage. The GUI looks terrible and Arial as a font is inexcusable.
Plus, there is the deleting of 6000 podcasts that I ran into.

I hate Apple's attempt to put a tablet UI onto the desktop.

Apr 8, 2013 7:14 AM in response to MoSchloby mrculturejammer,Here's what I got going on.
I updated to itunes 11.0.2 today, after delaying it for a looong time (I have it @ work and don't like the new layout).
Since then, none of my ipods will mount/show up/update. I've tried all USB ports, 3 ipods, 3 cords. Wondering if you know of any issues. I've restarted the mac about 15-20 times today since as soon as I hook up an ipod, itunes immediately spins the beach ball and won't let me click out of it.
I've restarted the ipods 10+ times each.
All of the ipods DO show up on my desktop though. Just not in itunes anywhere with 11.0.2.
One more thing: It's not the cables or the ipods: they both mount fine when connected to my laptop (running old *** 10.4.11 and itunes 9.)
I read thru all of these posts, and followed the instructions on dropping itunes 11.0..2.26, and reinstalling good old 10.7. Worked like a champ, easy to do. 10.7 is back like it was before.
STILL won't mount either ipod (a new 160GB Classic and a 5th gen video) at all though. Never had a problem with either of them until I downloaded itunes 11.0.2.26.

Apr 8, 2013 8:31 AM in response to mrculturejammerby Alex Zavatone,I still have my main home Mac not able to share broadcasts from my MacBook, or download anything of my purchases.
After the amount of time wasted and data lost on the iTunes 11 upgrade, only to see a flat, ugly interface with ARIAL on the Mac (really, WHY?), flat button graphics that no longer look like buttons, the loss of not only the podcasts, but the metadata for 6 thousand podcasts, I'm never installing another Mac update again until other users prove it is safe.
Apple has lost my trust that it has built since 1985 with this and the iOSification of the Mac OS.
Once bitten. Never again. My time is worth too much to justify running the risk of trusting another Apple update after this experience.
One idea is to install Xcode (4.2) and see if it recognizes your devices from the Organizer window. You could also check the Console log (it's in Utilities) when you plug in your devices to see if anything appears.
I'd just like to get 10.7 properly reinstalled on my home 27 inch iMac so that I can share music between Macs without the error showing up, but I'll be damned if I waste any more time on this.

Got details on how to install/where to get Xcode? Never hear dof it. Is it 3rd party or native OSX?
I'll check the console log....and if nothing appears, then what?

Apr 8, 2013 9:47 AM in response to mrculturejammerby Alex Zavatone,Xcode is what Apple developers use to create iOS and Mac OS apps. There may be a free version out there for people who are not registered developers.
Try http://developer.apple.com
If you are prompted to update the OS on your iOS devices, DO NOT DO IT, because you can not set them back.
No idea what you might see in the console, but it's the only place I could think of to look.
