After having to do an erase and install, the 10.5.8 updated freezes while "configuring install" how can I make "Software update" redownload the update? or is there something I can do to make the one i already downloaded work? It did take quite a while to download.

That is great, only the server keeps timing out when I try to go to that link! Try again later?
Do you have something wrong with your network? If you have been using wireless you could try an Ethernet cable.
Not sure why I could not get to it yesterday, but today it downloaded and installed fine.
