on the new itunes 11 webpage, it says you can start watching or listebning to a podcast on say an ipad, then continue later on itunes 11. i cant seem to get this to work, any body figured it out?

Podcast syncing in iTunes 11 doesn't work. It doesn't even work properly on iOS only. All of my devices show different sets of played and deleted items, etc.
I wish Apple would just remove the podcast app and functionality rather than making me waste my time testing it every time they make an update.

Agreed. Both apps, iTunes 11 and the Podcast App are early Betas, IMHO, with core functionality failures. Neither are ready for the world.
What does that say for the Post-Jobs era?
Any fixes or alternative are appreciated because this has really compliocated a previously humming workflow!

Yes, I downloaded a language course last night (series of mp3's) -- not from iTunes -- and they only show up through Finder, NOT through iTunes 11.0.1. Thus I can't link them to my iPad or iPhone. Any thoughts, anyone?
