Mar 25, 2013 3:12 PM in response to Just1nd20by julieell7580,I am a 60-yr-old retired teacher and I agree there is WAY too much wasted white space with artist/album above song/song-info. AND the checks need to be on the left where they were before. Very inconvenient to have them on the far side of that vast white ocean.

May 3, 2013 3:17 AM in response to Just1nd20by dtnz1,This new version is a serious downgrade. Column browser at the top is a useless waste of space. Please fix it!

Jun 5, 2013 11:10 PM in response to Just1nd20by Parintachin,Sorry Apple; this is just a Terrible idea. I have about 200gigs of music, most of it bought on the apple store. Especially when there are a lot of artists and songs in the library, this idea of putting the columns on top is really annoying.

Sep 21, 2013 3:58 PM in response to chewie7213by RollTheBeats,@chewie7213 I completely agree and I'm shocked that Apple still haven't addressed this issue. My work computer is running the latest version of iTunes but I point blank refuse to upgrade from iTunes 10 on my home computer until Apple fix this.
And now with the removal of the ability to shuffle a genre in the iOS7 music app it feels like Apple are losing the plot where their music apps are concerned.

Sep 22, 2013 6:53 AM in response to RollTheBeatsby chris catalano,Apple will never fix this. Doing so would be acknowledging that they f-ed up in the first place. And as we all know, Apple never makes mistakes, they know what is best for us all. The current implementation of this user interface is useless, but they don't care and won't listen to input from their users. What does that tell you about the current state of the company?

Sep 22, 2013 8:25 AM in response to RollTheBeatsby RollTheBeats,Forget my last comment about refusing to upgrade my home computer to iTunes 11. I upgraded my iPhone and iPad to iOS7 and I'm now unable to shufle a genre in the music app but to add insult to injury iTunes tells me that in order to sync the iPad and iPhone I need to updgrade to iTunes 11. I think I'm going to cry... iOS and iTunes used to be fantastic but I think this is the straw that broke the camels back. Seriously thinking now about ditching Apple completely and going Andriod.

Dec 4, 2013 7:18 PM in response to Just1nd20by hellbent183,i know this is an old post, but this problem is still infuriating me. I was running snow leapord and IOS 5 up untill a month or two ago......i miss them soo much. The new itunes is terrible for people with large libraries. The collums on the top is really not good. and dont even get me started on how terrible the new music player on IOS 7 is. Way too many useless features, that do nothing but make it unorganized and a pain to navigate through.

Dec 27, 2013 7:51 PM in response to RollTheBeatsby lemmy357,I had an older Itunes (10.2) and an older Ipod Classic 160GB (the thicker one). It was stolen on Christmas night so I purchased a new 160GB and thought it would be simple as plugging it in to the computer. But the new Ipod required a minimum of 10.7 Itunes. The older Itunes wouldn't even see the upgrade server so I had to upgrade manually. Now I am stuck with this horrible interface. I have over 200GB of music and there is just so much wasted white space on this. But like someone else said, there is no way apple will ever admit they made a mistake. We are stuck with this.

Dec 28, 2013 4:23 AM in response to lemmy357by cameronb2,Hi lemmy357 - Why not install 10.7 then? I have 10.7.0.21 and it does NOT have the horrible interface. This was the last version before they 'downgraded' thoughtlessly.

Dec 28, 2013 6:10 AM in response to cameronb2by lemmy357,Thanks. I have been looking in to doing that. I don't want to have to rebuild the database because I have over 200GB of music and only 160GB of space. I don't want to have to go through and unselect 40GB of music. But fortunately I make regular backups so my old 10.2 database file is still available. So I can just remove 11.x, install 10.7, then before I start Itunes manually restore the database file.

Dec 28, 2013 6:45 AM in response to cameronb2by lemmy357,I didn't know until I was in the MyMusic\Itunes\ directory that Itunes keeps the backup of your previous .itl file. So simple. Just uninstall 11.x, install 10.7, copy your old .itl file over and rename and my Itunes looks like it is supposed to and works with my new Ipod. Thanks!
