Dec 28, 2013 8:44 AM in response to cameronb2by chris catalano,Don't some of the newer idevices require at least itunes 11.x?
-
Dec 28, 2013 5:38 PM in response to chris catalanoby RollTheBeats,Yes iOS7 requires iTunes 11.x - if I was a cynic I might think Apple were trying to force people to 'upgrade' to 11.x.
I found this out the hard way when I upgraded my iPhone to iOS7. It was a bit of a double whammy, I hate iTunes 11 because I can't move the column browser to the left hand side and I hate iOS7 for lots of reasons but mainly because the music app is awful compared with iOS6, e.g. there's no easy way to shuffle an entire genre.

Jan 24, 2014 5:36 PM in response to Just1nd20by RollTheBeats,Another day, another iTunes update (11.1.4) but STILL no option to put the column browser on the left. I think I'm just going to give up on iTunes now and find an alternative media player.

Jan 26, 2014 4:48 PM in response to RollTheBeatsby siamless,Symptomatic for the Apple to ignore customers nowadays - unless - it can test its OS on them...getting a new one, too!

Jan 28, 2014 6:46 AM in response to RollTheBeatsby chris catalano,It's definitely time for an alternate to iTunes. Apple just doesn't give a sh*t about its customer's feedback. Any suggestions for something better? There are several library systems out there, but I haven't had the chance to evaluate any yet.

Jan 29, 2014 5:21 PM in response to Just1nd20by lberelson,I'm thinking it has to do with Apple pushing channels and streams where they can push sales thru iTunes. It seems a very intended UI change... just looked at an Apple feed from June '13 tho since i don't check feeds often, this may be a common announcement (note the Featured Stations etc). Since the internet radio is no longer featured on the left side, it forces more of a push to content they're trying to sell.
Announced today by Apple, iTunes Radio is a free Internet radio service featuring over 200 stations...Featured Stations curated by Apple, and genre-focused stations that are personalized just for you...coming Fall... iTunes Radio is ad-supported and free for everyone, and iTunes Match users get iTunes Radio ad-free.

Mar 19, 2014 7:07 AM in response to Just1nd20by ethanbeyer,I know it won't do much to simply agree, but this is a frustration for me, too.
I know yelling at Apple won't do anything, but if there are any Apple community managers that scour these forums, please be a human.

What do you want them to be "a human" about?

Mar 19, 2014 9:54 AM in response to Chris CAby RollTheBeats,I think it's pretty clear ethanbeyer was hoping that an Apple employee would see the extent of the frustration about this issue, on this thread, and other similar threads, and like you know...actually do something about it.
Thanks for the feedback link but many of us have already provided feedback. Multiple times. And 18 months later, still no change.
