plug your iphone into your computer, hard reset your phone (home and power buttons until apple appears).  once it restarts back to the lock screen, unlock it and a pop-up should ask if you want to trust this computer.  tap yes.

Be sure your phone is plugged into the computer while restarting, having itunes open is optional.

i have the same problem. i have a hp windows 7 laptop and an iphone 4s updated to the latest ios7 software.

i also have the latest update of i tunes 11. my iphone doesnt even come up on my laptop as a camera. i have tried all of the solutions stated on this dicussion. i have several official apple chargers which i have tried. i also have tried all the apple device solutions. none of which work. the strange thing is i plug my ipod touch which is on ios6.4 something and works fine. any solutions or things to try would be grateful.

You might want to try syncing over wifi. That is the only way I was able to get the iphone to show up in itunes after the update.

i cant seem to sync to over wifi as its a new iphone and laptop

Did you sync with that computer and phone before the iTunes 11 update? If so you should be able to sync from wifi. Enable it in your phone. It is also intermitent. I found it was best when my phone was being used instead of sleeping. I think it might have to be plugged into power as well and of course iTunes has to be opened also. This is how I did it. I wasn't able to sync with iTunes after the 11 update until I accidentally stumbled on this method.

My iPod Touch 5g stopped showing up in iTunes on my Windows 8 PC. My wife's iPod Touch 5g was workign just fine though.  I went as far as to completely wipe my iPod back to factory settings and even then it wouldn't show up.  I also kept getting the "Trust This Computer" message every time I'd connect.  After trying pretty much everything here, I searched for info on the trust message.  I found a page that showed the steps to find Apple's USB driver.  Even though I had tried updating my driver through Control Panel and was told it was up to date, as well as uninstalling my iPod through Control Panel and reinstalling it, the Apple driver finally did the trick.

Below are the steps that worked for me.  To give credit where credit is due, I got the steps from

Stop ‘Trust This Computer’ Message Pop Up Fix#1

    1. Go to Control Panel > Hardware & Sounds >  Device Manager
    2. Right-click the Apple device > Properties > ‘Hardware’ tab > Properties > ‘Driver’ tab > Update Driver..
    3. Search for the driver in “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers”
    4. The driver should be named ‘usbaapl64′

I didn't personally need step 4.  After I did step 3, my only option was to let Windows search that directory for me, but after that, I unplugged the iPod and plugged it back in and now I can finally go to bed.

I hope this info helps someone else out there.

Thanks FunkHouse9, this is the fix for the the iPhone not showing up in Windows iTunes 11.

Driver needs to be updated--pretty simple. And here is the apple instructions link:

This solution in a youtube video worked for me when all the others suggested in replies did not:

That video is the same method as the one I posted a couple of days ago. The only difference being the video gets to "device manager" through the start menu instead of through control panel.

thanks funkhouse9. it worked a treat.
