This really winds me up if people say you should have, would have, could have. How helpful is that???

I don't like the new itunes user interface because I think it's not intuitive at all. How would I get this information by reading about a UI? Trying it out is the only way to see if it works for me. I probably will give it a bit longer to see if I get used to it. However, as Apple's strength used to be having intuitive design this new itunes UI is extremly frustrating and disapointing for me.

iTunes 11 is SO SLOOOOOOOOW.  I have a rather large music library and typing anything in the Search box takes FOREVER.  Spinning beachball wheel of death pops up virtually every time.  Trying to delete & then re-enter your search query only bogs it down more!!!  THIS NEW ITUNES 11 IS TOTAL GARBAGE.  Good ol Stevie Jobs would've never tolerated such garbage from Apple.  C'MON GET IT RIGHT ALREADY!

Like i've been saying all along, that whole garbage crue should be fired on the spot for doing such a mess with Itues 11, that's from the itunes staff all the way up and down to the idiot that replaced Steve Jobs for letting this happen.

    the F&*$ with you iTunes

I disliked Itunes 11 at first, but I'm liking it now.  I'm not sure if its the latest upgrade to 11.01 or what but it appears to have speeded up.  I got it to look like the older familiar version by selecting View --> Show Sidebar.

My library is not large though, so I don't know if that problem has been solved.

Even I hated iTunes 11 initially. Wrote a quick tutorial on how to Downgrade iTunes 11 to the previous version of iTunes.

ITunes 11 is simply bad. It has a horrible UI. Steve Jobs would never have approved it. Infact since his passing Apple seems to have lost its way. The travesty of the maps fiasco. The half baked iPad Mini and now this! I hope they get their act together soon or I will have to go over there and take over!! I have now reverted back to 10.7 . To do this I had to change the read write permissions and move the Itunes 11 to the trash. Also trash the "iTunes Library.itl" as 10.7 can't read this. It will replace it. Reinstall 10.7 from the disc image you sensibly kept ( it can be found at http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-7195.20120912.d3uzQ/iTunes10.7.dmg  )

Everything will now work as before. Any apps or music etc downloaded with 11 won't show in 10.7 but they still can be found in your iTunes folder. Just drag them back on to the iTunes app and they will reappear.

    You should do next:

go > view > show sidebar

This will make it look more alike the iTunes 10
    Worked for me!

    S.Prec - good tip!

at least the GUI is a similiar feel. Steve Job is rolling over in his grave with the knuckleheads on this development team.

    Must be EX Microsoft goons.

I wish to add my voice to all of you who hate the new iTunes. If I wanted my librairy (90 gigs of music) to be reclassified/recategorized I would have done it myself. Why would Apple make changes to my system without my authorization? Thank you all who have enabled me to retrieve my old classification. As someone else said " Apple, I didn't need this additional frustration".

All the best in the new year to you all and Apple get your sh.. together.

There's an option to view you catalog of music via match or the said device which I think is dumb to I want my music as I organized... So unintuitive. They should fire this team with the maps guy and battery developers for the iPhone seriously #fail
