Good God, I could not agree more!  What used to take me 5 minutes to do (drag/drop item from folder into itunes) took me an HOUR AND A HALF to figure out after the FORCED upgrade.  I was so freaking livid, I was seriously putting a curse on all the homes of the people involved in this piece of stinking poo.  I watched the crappy tutorial...no help.  Every time I try to add something to my iPad, I have to go through the same frustrations.  It is so confusing!!!!  And I'm the tech guru for my team at a national company so I know my way around computers.

What's worse is there is no Apple support.  No one to call or ask.  If you want to speak to someone you have to fill out ridiculous forms and schedule a freaking call.  This is EXACTLY why I will never be 100% for Apple.  With one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world, you can't staff a call center?

Oh, and my favorite part?  The iPad Apple Lightening Cord has a flaw and will get STUCK in your computer's USB port.  I nearly broke my laptop trying to get it out and after googling it, I see I'm not the only person that has this problem.  Apple Maps?  Dropped calls if you put your hand over the Apple iphone antenna? How can you people overlook such significant design flaws????

I bought an iPad for christmas, but I am hoping Microsoft can get with the times and really outshine Apple.  With all do respect, I hate you people right now.

Except it wasn't FORCED (even if you type it in all CAPS).

And I'm the tech guru for my team at a national company so I know my way around computers.

    Okay. This explains everything...

Your comeback was amazing, Chris.  Way to put me in my place.

Maybe instead of being a *******, you could try perhaps making an educated argument or, I dunno, try being helpful.  Obviously you are much more intelligent than me, so please use your super-human brain for good, not evil.

Helpful about what? Not really sure what problem you are having as your post was simply a rant.

    Really?
It is a lightening connector. It does not plug into a USB port. I guess being the "tech guru" means?

Excellent use of sarcastic wit. Alas, the other end of a Lightning-to-USB cable is -- TA-DAA! -- a USB connector that could possibly have been defective and therefore capable of getting jammed in a USB port.

Thank goodness, I thought that I was suddenly tech-ignorant.  I couldn't tell half the time whether my ipad or iphone had synced and finished, or whether it had not even connected in the first place, and finally today, after seeing the 'view' ' - 'show sidebar' can I actually see my device reliably.  Bleh.

I am always having to defend my apple devices; the new itunes will not make that defence any easier.

I have some questions for the programmers of this new iTunes:

    - Why do we not get a visual of the progress of the song anymore?

    - What is with the extra button to make the iTunes player smaller (in the right hand corner)??? Why do we need another frickin' button to do the same thing as green button did before???

    - Why did you add a bunch more buttons to the interface in general? What happened to the minimalist design that Apple is known for?

    - What's with the right facing arrow on everything? Why do I need this annoying visual on every song, album, artist, EVERYTHING?!?!?

    - Why does everything take up more space in my window? The general look of everything is wasted space.

    - Why is there a whole seperate drop down menu just to see what song is next when I can already see what's coming next???

    - Why do I need to know that I have X albums of one artist and XX songs of all those albums? Who cares????

    - Why do I have the option of finding music in the iTunes Store that I already own? What purpose does that serve? So that I might buy the same song or album again???

    - Why do I need my iTunes to take over my desktop (opposing arrows in the right hand corner)? What purpose does that serve (anybody)???

Please count the amount of question marks in the questions above. There's alot because I don't understand why you messed with a perfectly good program. You guys are moving backwards. Please do everything opposite of what you are thinking and I think you'll get back on track on what us Apple users want. Thanks??!!??!?

Plus several functions now require an extra click, and, after you wake the computer up from sleep mode and push the play button, instead of picking up on the album you last left, the new iTunes starts at the very top of your album stack.  I getting so tired of ABBA I might just have to delete it!

Ive been at this for a while now (starting with a Power Macintosh 9500) I very rarely post anything because honestly, I am NOT knowledgeable enough to give advice to others.  I can and will share this bit of wisdom tho... especially to the new Mac users and to the posters that rant hysterically out of frustration, and believe me, after 18 years of Apple products I get your frustration!

Apple DOES NOT moniter these posts. If you want your voice heard, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the following .. Go to the top of your screen. Click iTunes. In the drop down menu you will see "Provide iTunes Feedback" or, simply follow this link..   http://www.apple.com/feedback/

The discussions are for users to give and recieve help and support to other users. Sending feedback to Apple is the ONLY way Apple will hear you...

You must be right by saying Apple officially ignores these posts.

However if I were the head of team responsible for iTunes I  could not afford this ignorance.

I have already given feedback to Apple by sending the link of this topic

I hate the new iTunes so much. So much so that I want to dump the Apple things all together. Why can't I have the opption to choose which interface I want. Why? Apple Team, Why?

I can't tell you how painful this up (down) grade is.  The filter function does not make sense.  the itunes store does not allow you to sort by popularity.  It reminds me of when Microsoft crowed out the top spreadsheet programs and then drove Excel into complete mediocrity.  Apple down 3% today?  No big surprise given its failure to consider users.

Deeply sorry to see the mess the firm post-Steve Jobs has so quickly become.
