Couldn't agree more. Anyone know how to consolidate tracks that should be on kne album? Everything I've read on this is for older versions (ie-I can't even find the "album artist" field discussed in most of the articles).

One more vote against the new version of iTunes.

Apple just keeps removing features and control.

    Boooooo!!

i downloaded winamp recently, haven't used it enough to say how well i like it.  it is much more user friendly and way less confusing as itunes 11, and does have the dj shuffle, which i use most.

I've got to say, I haven't used itunes much lately.  I got a great Sonos sound system and I'm using rdio, internet radio stations, Songza, etc.  It's a whole new world of music for the price of one new CD a month, and I don't have to pay it to apple.  I make a lot of playlists on rdio, and even though their interface isn't that hot, my musical world is expanded, AND simplified at once.  Now that I have time for my old fashioned library, I see MANY things about this new itunes that I HATE.  NO WORRIES, THIS SOON WILL ALL BE OBSOLETE, in my humble opinion.

Hello, apple, did you even CONSIDER any user testing and feedback before this "upgrade".... the responses make it pretty obvious that you should have.

Thank you!  I held off for weeks and succumbed. This is the WORST version ever.

I want my functionality back, my KEYstrokes back, I don't need to see artwork when I'm searching, in fact, where did SEARCH go? and why is my mini-player button an invisible dot on the wrong side of my screen?

Apple, I've been a fan since 1988, have spent a ton on macs, and have WaY more stock shares than i care to admit today, and I've never been so disappointed.

ok, thanks for letting me vent, good people of the Forum. now to remove & start over.... ??

Really? You think Apple did zero user testing and feedback?

Yes, I do.     There is no reason for many of removed features to have been removed.     They were hidden and did not detract or clutter the average user experience in any way, yet Apple chose to remove them, having NO idea how much hardship they would cause power users.       Example:   try to compare songs in one playlist with another.        This is pretty basic.   YOU CAN'T  because they chose to eliminate the option to open multiple windows.    I know Steve Jobs didn't believe in focus groups, but he intuitively knew how to make everything congeal.      Without Steve Jobs, now Apple needs to do extensive research because they are losing their way, and apparently don't have the vision to find their way back.

Then you have no idea of what you are writing about.

Apple. You're repeating the mistake you made in the 80s. Others, dedicated MAC uses, are being slowly taken away because of your fast to market blunders. Get it together.

Apple hid iTunes 11 update on the end of a camera raw compatibility update. That's how I accidently updated to 11. That was very sneaky of Apple.

I found this fix somewhere here and it worked great. I have iTunes 10.7 again. No more spinning beach balls. I can find my music again.http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipad-iphone/news/?newsid=3415032
