IPAD MINI/ New apple id??

Hi,

I have an iphone 4s and a new mac (for a few months) and a few old small ipod nanos - for xmas we have purchased a mini ipad and 2 itouches (lucky children, empty bank account!!) I am currantly setting up the mini and am stuck !! Do I set it up with the same apple id as mine or do I create a new one for my son?

I dont want him using my password and buying every app possible?? But I would like it if he used some of my music from itunes...how do I do this please??
