After the 10.8.2 update to my Mac mini (late 2012), the Build # is 12C3104

I don't remember if I tried that or not.  I know it doesn't see any 'new' updates and it shows the 12C2034 build.  I think it did get the supplemental update after I applied the patch that Apple pulled, but I'm not sure.

An expert did did reinstall from the download updater fine.

The update the Mac App Store applied to my new Mac Mini is 12C2034.

Hmmm, did you ever apply the non-official 10.8.2 update???
