The screenshot by LeoC86 is exactly why I'm going back to iTunes 10. 11 did not make things better. It made things better for Apple, but not for me and many, many others.

The thing I don't get is, I don't see a single advantage in taking the album covers away.

Apple's way or no way at all, fine, if I can see some sort of benefit it would give apple or anyone involved, I could see some logic behind it, even if I didn't agree with it.

But can someone honestly give me a reasonable point to taking the album covers away?  It's just like someone closed their eyes and randomly pointed at something on the screen, and said, "let's take this thing away, whatever."

That's why I believe it to be an unintentional bug.  Or I hope.

If this is an unintentional bug, then I'm really worried ;-)

I've just submitted some feedback on Apple's iTunes page. If enough people ask for it hopefully Apple will bring it back

    Hi Leo,

just seen your screen shot of iTunes11 and have a small question.

Above the Song list view there are 3 other small windows, Genres, Artists, Albums.

I am using iTunes11 on windows and cannot see an option to have these 3 small windows.

Here is a screen shot of mine:

    it11ss.PNG

If anyone knows how to open these other 3 view panes I would be grateful.

    Regards..,

Hi, I guess in your english version you have to go in "view" and something like "show column browser", then you can put it on the top or on the left.

  • Give_me_a_break Level 1 (0 points)

You first need to hide the Sidebar and then activate the Column Browser (both in the View menu). It's a bug...

Cheers Leo, that was exactly it. All fine and dandy now.

Strangley GMAB, I did not have to hide the sidebar, thanks for replying though.

Yes, you only have to hide the Sidebar when you have selected a Playlist, not when you have selected the Music folder (that's the bug)...

OK, I got it now, I can see exactly what you mean when selecting a Playlist. I would imagine iTunes 11.0.1 will be coming shortly.

    I think it's a major fail.  Shew...
