Yeah, they got rid of Cover Flow. Which is really lame, because Cover Flow was awesome!

This is absolutley true. Why they cannot keep Coverflow as an option? First they make a feature and than they remove it. Back to lists. Not everybody has "Albums". I just have songs, because I don't want Albums. In the days of the CDs you have to buy one Album, if you liked one or two songs. I want to browse through my songs. I'm so angry all the time I have to browse through the LIST. iTunes looks like phpMyAdmin. And Apple ist just so arrogant. No statement, no response to users. Nothing. Thats the reason why they gonna loose market share in future and other companies are getting bigger and bigger with the ideas of Apple.

Well done Apple!  After all those great innovations over the years (the iPod, iTunes, the iPhone, the iPad, Coverflow), you have managed to make iTunes look like MUSICMATCH Jukebox.  Congratulations!

Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave, that's all I can say.

PS: MUSICMATCH Jukebox: one of the very early MP3 players for Windows.

I left feedback as well...HATE that coverflow and album artwork in the side column are gone!!  Hate that you can't see anything if you use list view...I hate that I am so invested in Apple products!!! (cause they just don't care what we want anymore)

As much as I agree that removing Cover Flow was a bad idea, I just noticed I can get a large album cover in a separate window when I click on the album cover next to the volume slider. Maybe you can even get it Full Screen on Lion, but I'm stuck on Snow Leopard here.

The image does follow what's playing.

This is just one more example of how Apple is off its orignal mission- to be all about the user.

This is a massive mistake and if not corrected this way of developing will be the end of Apple's place as the technology leader that inspires.

If they fix this then it shows that they still give a crap about their customers.

Wouldn't that be nice? I'm petrified of downloading the iOS 6.1 update for my phone because I'm worried about what else it'll disable. I've never got nervous about doing updates from Apple but recently it's been a wholly bad experience.

I absolutely second the motion re "petrified of downloading the iOS 6.1 update for my phone because I'm worried about what else it'll disable". After this horrendous experience with iTunes 11 and Cover Flow, I will NEVER again install an Apple update to ANYTHING without waiting several weeks and seeing whether I can safely do so without blowing out a critical feature I depend on.

    I agree completely.

I used to download updates without question. Now, I wait for reviews.  My friend made the mistake of upgrading to Mountain Lion on an older iMac without necessary RAM. I had to downgrade the whole OS to snow leopard. It was a nightmare.  Downgrading can be really difficult and data can easily get lost. I am gong to start manually checking for updates.

When it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Without coverflow iTunes looks earily similar to the Windows Media Player now.
