I love Apple. I want to continue loving Apple. But like any relationship there is give and take.

Apple, I'm holding my hand out.

Bring back Cover Flow in iTunes!!!!

Hm, a few subtle autocorrections found their way into that post.

Ummm,  they haven't taken coverflow away....  Have you noticed if you turn your phone sideways (horizontal)  The coverflow mode is there?

We're not talking about iTunes on the iPhone. We're talking about on desktop computers. Many of us used it as an in-home jukebox, with full screen graphics. Or on big screen TVs. That's where coverflow was at its best.

Tried your suggestion on my Mac Mini, didn't work ;-). Reverted back to iTunes 10.7 and I am happy again! Still, Apple should bring it back, there were a few nice things in iTunes 11, particularly in the iTunes Store interface. But I'm not goin to switch, no sirree , until coverflow is back. Or, I guess, until I buy another mac when this one breaks.

Careful you might also not want to upgrade to Mavericks because you may lose that Cover Flow again. Us 10.7 users may just have to stay on Mountain Lion for the rest of our lives. Well at least one thing, my iPod Touch 4th won't be able to get iOS7 and as long as it stays where it's at with 10.7 on the Mac I'm happy. I think this new iTunes 11 is retro if anything.

Is there a way to actually let they know to the apple developers the terrible desision, that is, to take off the cover flow from itunes?, is there a way to make they listen the generalized disagree?, do they read this forum or others?.

in my opinion the only useful use of "cover" flow is to show "covers" of your music.

    just asking...

    greetings to all.

unfortunatly not my Friend... just downgrade to 10.7 .... the best favor you can do for yourself!

Apple lost the ability to smell what people would like to have since Steve is gone!

The left ones are just turstees... nothing more!

As someone already noted, go here.

The only way to get CoverFlow back to iTunes is that we all share your feelings there:

Apple engineers don't read what's on, but feedbacks are shared with them.

Losing Cover Flow was bad enough, but the album view locking on the art work for the first song in an album is horrible.  I created many self titled albums for various purposes i.e. 1979 Cool for Cats Sessions where I collect singles with scanned front and back images of the 45 picture sleeves.   When I played the A side of the single I would see the front artwork and when I played the B side I would see the credits on the back side of the single.  I have done this for over 100 singles!   I have also include numerous extra photos and related mage tems for the artist, album or single in the artwork field.   I have lost the ability to see this treasure trove of music history - great picture sleeves and related extra photos.    I will use iTunes 10.7 to view my 50,000 track library until I can use it no longer because of iPhone or iPod requirements.

The only way to see this album/picture sleeve information is Get Info and view the small artwork in that window.  Totally unacceptable.

I depended on an integral function of iTunes (Cover Flow) spend many hours scanning and collecting my information for display and I was royally screwed depending on that fuctionality.

But coverflow was so beautiful!  I have just acheived a long time ambition and finally bought an iMac after putting up with PCs for many years so I have no 10.7 to return to.  I already had an iPhone and an iPad (and had used a Mac 500 in the dim and distant past) so never associated Apple with making retrograde steps when developing software.  Sadly this may not the only example.  Surely a display option is the answer, especially when coverflow is still used for files and folders, where it is probably unnecessary, does anybody really use it there.  Did nobody think to clone the blessed Steve?

If you haven't already, please be sure to leave feedback for Apple here:

I do not understand, but maybe we simply don't get through to a new group of kids who don't even list the computers on the iTunes feedback page, only the toys the kids play with, not the MacBook or iMac, just the toys for kids. Maybe after a couple of decades of buying Mac we don't count?

This isn't coverflow but I am finding it a helpfull alternative: a screensaver that displays the art and status... anyone else tried it?
